Black or White

Michael Jackson said it best, probably in self-defense, but baby it don't matter if you're black or white. The beauty of Americans and Americanos both is their versatility. You can enjoy an Americano straight up black without sugar. The same drink can be had with a touch of hot or cold milk. It's entirely up to you! We strongly suggest using espresso capsules to try both ways. Variety is the spice of life.

Just like the things you whisper to your loved ones, every little thing matters. From the temperature of the water to the type of liquid luxury coffee pod you choose to make the Americano with.   • Sugar to taste
  • Whole milk, heated or room temperature based on your choice (for the White Americano)

Directions for Black Americano

1. Choose which exotic Caffè di Artisan variant to choose to make this cup of Americano. This is the only part of the exercise that may take more than a couple of seconds and hence we are giving our recommendations at the end of the recipe.

2. Pour one Caffè di Artisan liquid single-serve coffee shot into a 8 oz (240 ml) cup, froth for 2-3 seconds for a rich crema.

We provide a free frother with your first order to get this bit right.
Of course, some of you may not want to the froth at all. That is perfectly fine too
Tip: If you prefer to use a larger cup (12 or 16 Oz), you may like to use two pods

3. Pour 150 ml or 5 oz. of hot water (between 195 F/91 C and 205 F/96 C) into the cup.

4. Your Americano is ready in 15 seconds flat


Tip: Even if you usually use sugar/ syrup/sweetener in your Americano, taste before adding any. Caffè di Artisan coffee can be zesty with a long, lingering taste...but never has burnt or bitter notes.

Recipe for a White Americano

1. Choose your favorite Caffè di Artisan variant to choose to make this cup of White Americano.

2. Pour one Caffè di Artisan liquid single-serve coffee shot into a 8 oz (240 ml) cup, froth for 2-3 seconds for a rich crema.

We provide a free frother with your first order to get this bit right.
Of course, some of you may not want to the froth at all. That is perfectly fine too.
Tip: If you prefer to use a larger cup (12 or 16 Oz), you may like to use two pods

3. Pour150 ml or 5 oz. of hot water (between 195 F/91 C and 205 F/96 C) into the cup.

4. Pour a bit of whole milk at room temperature until the desired color is achieved. You may also heat your milk to create a temperate White Americano.

If you are vegan, soy milk or nut milks work perfectly too!

5. Your delicious white Americano is ready to just a few seconds
